Japan Gradient Nail Polish

My bf's friend's girlfriend brought a gift from Japan!
I tried the orange one first because its my favorite color!
I love it!  Its simple to use, 3 steps.  Since the tip color isn't really opaque you don't have to be exact.  I can't wait to try the other colors!

OPI DS Radiance with Konad

I bought OPI DS Radiance a while back and it took me sometime to use it.  I had a lot of untrieds to get through and I was in no hurry to use it.  Once I put it on I was pretty amazed how silver it was haha
I did some konad over it to tone down the silver, I really like how the black contrasted.  I used Wet and Wild in Black for stamping, it works pretty well and it $1.

Dior Saint Tropez #2

I decided to try Dior Rock coat over Saint Tropez.  I think I layered it on too thick hehe.  I also used OPI DS Original over Saint Tropez and I love it!

Dior Saint Tropez

I am on a quest for limited edition nail polish colors and here is my newest addition.  I managed to order it from dior.com in the nick of time!  Some people were waiting for a free shipping code to kick in on Friday but since I live in Hawaii I don't get free shipping anyways.  So I went ahead and got some for my stock pile =)
As far as I know, Dior won't be restocking online and the Las Vegas store has a looooong wait list.  I called about 2 weeks ago to be put on the wait list and they haven't called me yet.  But I know they did receive their shipment.  I am guessing they sold out already.
The Dior brush is slowly growing on me.  I didn't have any problems with the application.  I used 2 coats with Essie Good to Go.

DIOR Golden Era

One of my newest, Dior Golden Era.  I found it at a random Dior makeup counter and it was from a few seasons ago.  I tried it alone, over white, and over black.  I liked the way it looked over black and alone but over white wasn't as nice.  It actually didn't bother me when I could see some VNL.

Deborah Lippman Glitter in the Air over Love and Beauty Taupe

I eventually had to give in and get Deborah Lippman Glitter in the Air after a failed attempt of making my own glitter nail polish.  I found the same color glitter but it ended up being thicker so I could feel the glitter under the top coat.
Here is my random combination of Deborah Lippman GITA over Love and Beauty Taupe.  Love and Beauty is carried at Forever 21, I ordered mine from their website.

 

Only down side is I can already see some wear at the tips and its only been a day.  I think its probably due to the Love and Beauty polish.  I used Opi acrylic base and Essie Good to Go top coat and I usually don't see wear this fast.  Still love it!

I asked my friend in San Diego to check the stores near her but nothing! And someone from TPF mentioned they saw it at a store in Vegas and I was sooo close to finding someone in Vegas to pick it up for me but I called to double check and the guy who I talked to on the phone said he couldn't find anything I was describing =(

Bottega Veneta for Japan

Bottega Veneta has followed in the steps of Gucci and created a special keychain with proceeds going to Red Cross for Japan.  Last I checked it was still available here.  Some sites said it was very limited to 1000 pieces world wide.  I had to get 2 so me and bf would match =)

Clarins 230 over Opi My Private Jet

I did a full mani over Opi My Private Jet and it was gorgeous!
My Point is Opi Movin Out over Opi My Private Jet
I wanted to see the difference.  Movin out comes off more purple.  I think because Movin Out is more of a creme while Clarins is a jelly.

Nfu Oh #52 over Claire's Evil Queen

I am flakies obsessed right now.  I love that they are sparkly and duochromy =)

My newest color is Nfu Oh #52, its like a green blue flakie mix.  I layered it over Claire's Evil Queen, their version of Mac Formidable.  It is kind of a dark purple with bluish glitter in it.  The pictures don't really show the dark purple sheen under the flakies.  IRL its gorgeous!

NFU OH #65 Holographic

Pictures just don't do this justice.  I finally ordered NFU OH aqua base, made just for holographic nail polishes.  This polish looks great under the sun, its mesmerizing!  I eventually plan on expanding my holo polishes, I only have one so far =(
But I'm on a flakies kick right now =P

Dior Aloha Electric Tropics

So I had to hunt down the new Dior Electric Tropics Duos.  But I finally got all of them!  I had to call pretty much all the Saks in California to get Paradise, since it was a Saks exclusive color.  But I decided to try Aloha first, since its orange!
My original plan was to make an ombre with Aloha as the base but after getting it on I realized that Paradise was too light to go over Aloha... oh well, next time!
I love this top coat! It dries super glossy and super fast!  I'm so glad I have 2 top coats!
As far as I know, they don't sell the top coat separately.  You have to buy the duo, either Aloha or Paradise and you get a top coat.  At only $26 for two 0.33 oz bottles (one color and one top coat), it seems like a deal to me when normal Dior polish is about $21 for a 0.33 oz bottle.

I planned on doing the ombre using this gradiation liquid I bought in Japan.  But it didn't work out that way hehe

I can only assume these run small because I'm normally a sz 6.5 (36.5-37) and they only had a 38 or 35.5 left.  I couldn't fit my foot in the 35.5 if my life depended on it... So I asked to see the 38 and they fit! Oh well, they fit haha

I actually went back to see these after I bought the Delics.  The only size they had was a 36.5 and it fit but they were a bit more expensive... like $200 more expensive.  But after thinking about it, I loved that they were extra high and orange! So I went back and tried them on and fell in love!

OPI Rally Pretty Pink

Its so sparkly!  Love it!
Junk part is it came as a set with Red Shatter.  I'm not a shatter girl, I vaguely remember this being the biggest trend in the late 90s when I was in middle school.  I wasn't into it then, not into it now.  I just listed Red Shatter on ebay since I won't be using it.

Nfu Oh #51 with Dior Rock Coat

I just got Nfu Oh #51 and I wanted to test out Dior Rock Coat.
Top finger has Rock Coat on it.  It like a gray jelly that goes on just thick enough to darken the base color.  I bought an extra bottle because its a unique top coat.

Chanel Miami Peach

I was looking for a summer color and after looking at the new Chanel summer swatches I settled on Miami Peach, a Neiman/Bergdorf exclusive.  I used OPI Acrylic Base coat and Essie Good to Go top coat.



 

Its a cute coral color and I like anything  orange or orange adjacent =)
I did hear that the new summer colors had issues with bubbling if you don't let each coat dry.  I did have maybe 3 bubbles out of all my fingers so it didn't really bother me.

The dark colors are nicer.  My top picks are all from my left hand =)  OPI Yoga-ta get this blue is on of the nicer ones.  OPI DS Jewel does make a nice combination. 

Finally got it!!!!

I finally got my unicorn pee!!!!  The elusive Clarins 230!  I snagged it on ebay for $50.  It pained me to pay so much for one bottle but I saw some swatches of this and I knew I needed it before it was too late!
I also managed to get MAC Bad Fairy from the same seller for about retail.  I totally missed out on this color and I've been hunting it down on ebay for a few months now.

ELF Mint with Konad

I've been drawn to this sea foam green color for awhile now.  Yes, I did manage to get Chanel Jade when it was in the store.  But its gotten to the point where a bottle of Jade goes for $225! Just this week I watched a bottle start at $0.99 and go up to $225!  I'm wary to use it knowing how much its worth now =(

But here is my ELF Mint, a $1 substitute sea foam green.  It took 3 layers to get this green, it was still a bit streaky under the Konad

I meant to swatch Jade on 1 finger to show the difference but I totally forgot.  So here is a bottle comparison instead =P

MATTE Forever 21 Olive Juice Nail Polish with Konad

So I decided I want to change my nails again.  But before I do, I was just curious my current color would look like matte:

I honestly can't tell the difference  between Essie and ELF when it comes to matte.  But ELF is just $1!  I'll continue to compare them with different colors to see, but for now they are about the same even though the price is a big difference!

New Hair Cut!

So its been maybe 6 months or so since I cut my hair and I guess it is about time to cut it.  And I got my mom to fund it =)
